Your Role

We’re looking for a proven, SaaS sales “hunter” based in the Boston-area with experience closing 6 figure deals to join our early stage, fast growing company. Your Mission

  • Aggressively build your own sales pipeline, qualify opportunities, and close business
  • Execute high value sales cycles in a well-defined sales process and methodology
  • Target key accounts and prospects, understand their complex organizations, and work with key stakeholders to win
  • Collaborate with internal resources from sales engineers, finance, marketing, and product while quarterbacking successful sales plans
  • Track pipeline and sales activity in Salesforce.com including accurate forecasts
  • Team up with business development reps and marketing to develop territory and enhance pipeline

 

Your Experience

  • Proven experience closing complex sales processes in B2B SaaS
  • Track record of success leading in a “team selling” environment
  • 5+ years selling technology solutions
  • Demonstrated history of being a star performer
  • Comfort and poise selling at the executive level
  • Experience and enthusiasm for hunting for new customers
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

DevOps / Data Software Engineer

As a Data/DevOps Software Engineer, you will be responsible for driving quality, reliability and operability into our products.

Responsibilities

  • Define and implement product build, configuration and deployment processes utilizing modern DevOps frameworks and concepts
  • Participate in the software design and development process with a focus on quality, automation, performance and operability.
  • Take responsibility for design, development, performance tuning and operational support of complex distributed data processing pipelines

Qualifications

  • 8+ years experience in Software Engineering roles with DevOps, distributed systems and
  • 8+ years experience developing software with high level languages like Java, C++, Scala
  • 4+ years of experience specifically with Java
  • 2+ years experience developing, deploying and troubleshooting multi-threaded/ multi-processing applications
  • 2+ years of experience with one of: Puppet, Ansible, Chef, SaltStack
  • Experience with CI/CD pipeline architectures and DevOps best practices
  • Proficient in at least one primary scripting language and Linux shell tools, with a proven ability to learn new programming skills
  • Experience with Data Engineering architectures and tools (SQL & NoSQL Databases, data pipelines, ETL, analytics)

As a Database Architect, you will be responsible for analysing, defining, benchmarking and testing Yottaa’s Databases.

 

Responsibilities

  • Carry out performance analysis and planning of databases & systems; including HW specs, OS/FS configurations, database & application layers.
  • Optimize data layer operations (queries and processing) by analyzing query plans, workloads, system resources and implementing solutions.
  • Participate in the software requirements and design process, including build vs buy analysis factoring cost, agility, core competencies and value proposition.
  • Build prototypes and proof-of-concept implementations of systems to better understand trade-offs; performance, cost, complexity, etc.
  • Work with Engineering and Operations stakeholders to understand operational and deployment challenges, analyze gaps and build collaborative solutions.

 

Qualifications

  • 8+ years experience with Databases & Data Architectures (SQL & NoSQL Databases, data pipelines, ETL, real-time analytics, machine learning use-cases)
  • 8+ years experience as a DBA or Database Architect with expert level knowledge of at least one common database system.
  • 5+ years designing, building and tuning virtualized architectures for IO workloads
  • Experience with CI/CD pipeline architectures and DevOps best practices

NOC Operations Engineer for 2nd Shift

The role
We are looking for someone to join the Network Operations team that provides 24/7 monitoring, support & escalation for our infrastructure. The individual will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving network related problems, assisting the shift manager with the day-to-day activities for the Tier 1 and Tier 2 NOC technicians. The individual will also be responsible for coordinating activities with our client services team, and our managing our global infrastructure. This position involves shift work at our Waltham MA location. This role requires a great deal of dedication to meeting planned timelines and analytical skills to resolve issues swiftly.

 

Key Accountabilities

  • Provide reliable and quality, Network Operations desk support in a 24X7 production environment
  • Respond to events from the monitoring tools, with the goal of restoration of service
  • Take personal responsibility for the availability and reliability of our service
  • Use configuration management tools to interact with and manage Yottaa infrastructure
  • Identify key system metrics and ensure adequate monitoring coverage for new and existing facilities, leveraging lessons learned while providing a front-line response
  • Support our existing production systems while also finding ways to improve it
  • Work on our server image configurations, collaborating with other engineers to optimize for task performance, reliability, failover, and scale.

Skills

  • Knowledge and experience with technology infrastructure monitoring and management tools
  • Experience using Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus or similar event monitoring tools
  • Understanding of Networking concepts; LAN; WAN; TCP/IP; routers; switches; subnets; DMZ; Firewall
  • Experience using Help Desk/Trouble-Ticket software, such as ServiceNow, HP ServiceDesk or Jira
  • Prior alert escalation experience, including paging; conferencing; e-mails; cell/home calling
  • Prior Network Operations or related Computer Operations experience
  • Experience with fault management, escalation and Customer engagement
  • Experience dealing with service providers and vendors
  • Cisco CCNA or higher certification preferred
  • Exceptional technical and non-technical communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Provide status updates to management and turnover reporting to other shifts & departments
  • Write incidents reports & keep a timeline of events during outage periods
  • Reasonably flexible with work schedule:
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to cover other shifts during holidays; staffing shortages; emergency cases
  • Give guidance and training to junior members of the Team
  • Ability to prioritize workload
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team

Knowledge

  • Bachelor Degree in Technical discipline or 4 years of equivalent work experience
  • Current CCNA or CCNP/DP certification or equivalent experience

 

Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience working in a high paced NOC environments
