Yottaa Speeds Into 2016 With Impressive Q1 Results

Quarter Highlights Include Strong Revenue Performance, Key Customer Wins, Ongoing Cloud Innovations, and Introduction of CEXi

Waltham, MA—April 4, 2016—Yottaa, the leading cloud platform for optimizing web and mobile applications, today announced strong first quarter performance after recording the company’s 17th consecutive quarter of record revenue growth and increasing total Q1 2016 Annual Recurring Revenue over 150% year-over-year for Yottaa’s solutions.

Throughout the quarter Yottaa made several key customer, product, and company announcements, including:

Yottaa announced that online retail company MagnetStreet selected Yottaa to optimize, accelerate, and secure the company’s web application. Since deploying Yottaa, MagnetStreet has experienced tremendous results, including 12% Faster Page Loads, 7% Higher Visitor Engagement, and a 13% Conversion Rate Boost.

Yottaa announced that Charming Charlie, a rapidly growing women’s contemporary jewelry and accessory retailer, selected Yottaa to augment revenue growth within its eCommerce channel and guarantee optimized web experiences for its growing number of online shoppers. Charming Charlie utilized ValidateIT™, a traffic-splitting methodology, to test Yottaa’s impact on crucial business metrics. Against Charming Charlie’s existing implementation, Yottaa-optimized pages showed a 25% improvement in Page Load Time and an 8% improvement in eCommerce Conversion Rate.

Yottaa introduced an extension to its popular ImpactAnalytics™ product with a new security portal that provides unparalleled real-time analytics and visualization capabilities. The portal highlights Yottaa’s ContextSAFE™ web application firewall activity and enables Yottaa personnel and customers to easily understand their current threat landscape, and both the types and sources of security anomalies in real time. In addition to existing capabilities, such as a real time data feed, powerful filtering by error code, content type, IP and free text searches on URLs and User Agents, security admins benefit from a powerful security analytics tool with features that include:

  • Good and bad traffic distribution over time
  • Drill-down capability to investigate web application firewall activity
  • Top firewall rules display, with drill-down to individual rule activity
  • The ability to overlay security rule lifecycle events on a trend chart, so users can understand when rules were activated and applied
  • Quick view of rule definitions, providing better context as to why specific rules are triggered
  • Quick links to view an audit trail of rule management behavior

Yottaa also introduced the Customer Experience Index (CEXi), the industry’s first index designed to help online businesses benchmark web performance and user experience. The CEXi is a compound index that quantifies the desktop and mobile user experience of a web application far more accurately than any single metric. It combines objective, measurable aspects of performance, such as page load speed from both mobile and desktop simulations, with specific weighting calculations to provide online businesses with an overall performance score that simulates the actual feeling, positive or negative, of using their web applications for a modern, cross-device user.

Later in Q1, Yottaa published a case study further illustrating why perceived speed is critically important to user experiences, and how content orchestration maximizes that perception. The case study followed the company’s eCommerce industry poll on the state of web and mobile performance and personalization. For the poll, Yottaa surveyed hundreds of eCommerce business leaders to determine how their investments in web and mobile applications, user experience, personalization, and targeting have resulted in improved cross-device customer experiences.

Yottaa received industry recognition during the quarter. In January, the company was named a Digital Power Player for 2016 by Website Magazine, the leading publication for website success reaching 120,000 qualified professionals and the largest audience of website owners and managers in the market. Yottaa was selected as a Digital Power Player in the “Performance” category in this year’s listing. In February, Yottaa was named a finalist in two categories in the Tech Trailblazers Awards. Finally, Yottaa hosted a webinar with Mike Frazzini, Chief Technology Officer of eBags, together with Internet Retailer. Entitled “eBags Rewrites the Holiday Playbook: How to Elevate Customer Experience and Drive Revenue”, the webinar highlighted some of the challenges modern eCommerce businesses face in building scalable, speedy, and secure online experiences when business and IT strategies collide. The webinar featured a case study on how eBags’ switched from a legacy content delivery network to Yottaa’s optimization platform and the impact on desktop, tablet, and mobile conversion rates following a changed strategy from edge caching to content orchestration.
