Laura Canada Deploys Yottaa And Improves Website Performance By 35%

Leading Women’s Fashion Retailer Optimizes the Loading of Images and 3rd Party Technologies Using Yottaa’s eCommerce Acceleration Platform

Waltham, MA—February 12, 2019—Yottaa, Inc., the leading Cloud platform for accelerating eCommerce, today announced that Laura Canada, a leader in women’s fashion, recently selected the Yottaa eCommerce Acceleration Platform to improve page load times for its websites. As a result, Laura Canada has been able to improve site performance by 35%.

Laura Canada is a Canadian women’s fashion retailer with over 140 stores across Canada. Founded in 1930, the retailer has grown nationally expanding throughout Quebec, into Ontario, British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, Nova Scotia, and Newfoundland. Operating under the banners of Laura, Laura Petites, Laura Plus, and Melanie Lyne, Laura Canada is a privately-owned company with over 2,000 employees.

With very sophisticated websites containing many high-resolution images and 3rd party eCommerce technologies, Laura Canada was looking to improve the delivery speed of website content for its online shoppers. The company turned to Yottaa and after a two-week trial Laura Canada saw a 35% improvement in site performance. This resulted in improved shopper experiences and increased online conversions. Following the trial Laura Canada implemented Yottaa across all of its sites, including www.laura.ca and www.melanielyne.com.

“When Laura Wolstein opened our first store in 1930, customers loved the friendly, familiar, and customized service, and that core company commitment continues to this day regardless of whether a shopper is in one of our stores or shopping online,” said Marco Nobert, Vice President of CRM, Digital Marketing, and eCommerce, Laura Canada. “Yottaa is helping our team achieve this commitment by enabling the addition and management of 3rd party technologies on our sites. With Yottaa, we can continue to enhance customer experience without worrying about how those 3rd parties might impact site performance.”

Laura Canada deployed Yottaa’s eCommerce Acceleration Platform utilizing the following Yottaa solutions:

  • Application Sequencing to optimally manage and control the execution of 1st and 3rd party assets, and responsively load images to make even the most visually engaging (and heavy) pages immediately interactive.
  • InstantON to accelerate the performance of dynamic pages and content, resulting in significantly faster page load times.
  • Content Transformation to manipulate how web page content is rendered, with no configuration or code change. By enabling quick modified page rendering, Content Transformation personalizes the performance of the shopper experience to each device, browser, location, and network.

“Like many retailers, Laura Canada is working to achieve both fast website performance and a customized shopper experience,” said Rich Stendardo, CEO of Yottaa. “Through Yottaa’s new class of software-driven optimization technology, Laura Canada can optimally orchestrate and manage the complexity of its many 3rd party technologies to provide its shoppers with both rich, engaging online experiences and 35% faster page load times.”
