Since 2017 Retail Systems Research (RSR) has evaluated online retailers’ offerings. How quickly does the website load? Are there enough helpful features (online chat, product reviews, social media embedded links, etc.), while minimizing their impact on site performance? Are pop ups an issue? Is the mobile site as fun and easy to use as the desktop site?
In the 2019 edition of the report, RSR evaluated and ranked 80 retailers, all with a strong eCommerce presence, in terms of website performance and shopper experience. The report also includes results from a survey of 1,300 shoppers designed to find out what consumers think of the job retailers are doing in terms of site performance and how slow loading web pages impact their online buying behavior.
