What is your role at YOTTAA?
I am on the sales team at YOTTAA.
How do you help eCommerce brands?
We help them in so many ways! Not only do we make their sites much faster, but we also help customers have a better buyer journey from start to finish, which improves and supports our brands’ images. And that’s just the start of it! In the eCommerce space, we try to make our customers’ jobs easier and take a lot off their plates. By that I mean that YOTTAA takes over the monitoring of any issues and anomalies on their sites. The YOTTAA platform helps our customers not only be proactive, but reactive. If any issues pop up, we let them know right away and then help solve the problem. The complete visibility that we offer is really a great advantage.
What is your favorite part about working with YOTTAA customers?
Building relationships with them! With every customer I have worked with, I have built a relationship in one way or another. It’s been nice to meet so many different people and see what they are trying to accomplish with their brands, and then help them to make their vision a reality. I enjoy the process of helping our customers make their brands better.
What did you do before YOTTAA that has helped you most in your current role?
Before YOTTAA, I was in software sales at Oracle. That taught me a lot in terms of finding out what’s essential to our customers. Being able to pinpoint and identify what our customers’ pains are, what problems they are experiencing, really helps with solving them.
How is your work at YOTTAA different from your previous jobs?
Working at YOTTAA is very different from my previous jobs. Being at a big corporation before this, it was extremely challenging to have your voice be heard. If you had any input on implementing changes for the better, it was very hard to get that message across. But at Yottaa, my voice is heard, and I love that. If I want to get Rich, our CEO, on the line to talk with another C level, I can quickly message or call him, and he is so willing to engage and jump in. It’s the same with Bob (our CTO), too. It’s amazing to have a Co-founder and CTO who are willing to help us in a sales cycle with our customers. It shows how truly invested we are in our customers.
What do you like most about your job at YOTTAA?
I just love the people here. Everyone is so helpful and great. Every single person is willing to help in any way, shape, or form. It’s really a good group. It is also very cool to be in the eCommerce space. It’s fun; you know, who doesn’t want to talk about online shopping? I could talk about it all day! I am the queen of online shopping! So, to be able to talk about that all day with customers is fun.
What brief advice do you have for others wanting to enter this profession?
You have to be sure it is something you want to do! It is an amazing opportunity to get to know different people and to be challenged. We may be selling the same thing to each customer, but it’s going to be a little different in each scenario. Being able to listen is important. Often, I feel like salespeople like just to talk, talk, talk. But you need to be able to listen to the customer and learn what’s important to them so you can figure out the best way to help. The best advice I can give is to build that relationship with your customer and find the problem that you can solve for them.
What makes YOTTAA a great place to work?
It’s just the right size, where you can talk to anyone, from Rich to Beth. You can touch every department. I can even be involved with Product if I want! If I talk to a customer, and they say, “I wish you had this feature,” I can then bring that request to the product team, and they listen to my customer’s input. I love that. The accessibility is important to me because at big corporations, it’s hard to find. I love to feel like I am part of the whole team and not just a number.
What do you do when you’re not at the office?
I’m doing a lot of things right now! I just moved so I’m busy with unpacking, redecorating, and home stuff. I also have been fostering dogs since the start of the pandemic! To date I have fostered 9 dogs ranging from puppies to adults. Now that we have settled into our new home, my boyfriend and I plan on adopting our own pup very soon. Above is a picture of me and my first foster baby, Lincoln.
And, of course, I still do a ton of online shopping!
