Growth Update: 35,000 websites being monitored by Yottaa
Since we launched the public beta of our web performance assessment and monitoring service in September 2010, Yottaa Insight TM , the response has been tremendous. It has organically grown from 0 to over 35,000 websites in 6 months!
New Features: Key Pages, Speed Chart and Asset Report
We recently released a new version of Yottaa Insight TM with some significant updates:
- We added one of your most requested features – the ability to manage multiple pages in a domain and monitor them. Be sure to add your key web pages to your domain on your dashboard so that we will track them for you.
- Each key page now has a Site Speed Summary view, all of the key metrics are in one table including DNS time, Time to First Paint, Time to Interact and more.
- The new Site Speed Chart , which is different from the page load timeline (aka "waterfall" diagram) shows you visually how much time each asset on your site takes to load and which are slow.
- Asset Report – this new report makes it simple to see all of the assets on a page and how they are delivered from the server: Keep-Alive, Compression, Expire header, etc. You can further apply filtering by domains, hosts, etc for more in-depth analysis.

Knowledge Tip: How to Filter out Robot Traffic from Web Analytics
If you use Google Analytics, Coremetrics, Omniture or any other web analytic services, we want to share one of our most popular tips with you: how to filter and segment traffic from some of the more sophisticated bots. Modern bots, including Yottaa bots called "YottaaMonitor", can perform tasks like running JavaScript and accepting cookies. As a result, most web analytics services cannot separate such bots from normal traffic. We have written specific step-by-step instructions on how to handle this. Visit the Yottaa Blog for more detail.
